Google Talk is now Hangouts. Which fine, however Google no longer offers the Windows Gtalk application. I don’t really like the new Chrome app for Hangouts; it doesn’t show who is online, syncing is often a pain and you can’t set your status (away/offline).

I managed to track down the old Windows Gtalk / Google Talk Beta app for windows.
